So, who's up for some good readin'?! 🙋♀️
Now, I’m not giving you a beachy romantic suspense type reading list (maybe later!) but rather some extremely well-written and hard-to-put-down nonfiction. And trust me: even if you might not love all of these recs as much as I do, you sure as heck will get something out of them.
Plus, most of these are short, tiny, quick little reads. The best kind.
Breath
Mouth breathers, beware! This book is all about the “lost” ability to — you guessed it — breathe properly. Nestor curates years of research from many, many countries and cultures and branches of science to produce an alarming list of the diseases and maladies that evidence shows can be traced back to the lack of correct breathing style — including the need for orthodontics, anxiety, obesity, sleep apnea, asthma, autoimmune diseases…on and on and on. He even uses himself as an experiment subject, with rather unnerving and enlightening results!
Verrrry interesting stuff.
(Truth: I started losing weight when I began deliberately breathing the way this book recommends!)
